Robert C. Chalwell Jr. is a classically trained tenor, recitalist, voice teacher and director. Mr. Chalwell
received a BA from the Boston University School of Music, and MA from the San Francisco
Conservatory of Music. As a tenor, Mr. Chalwell’s performances include recitals in the US, UK, and the
Caribbean; and the roles of Tamino from The Magic Flute, Ferrando from Cosi fan Tutte, Candide from
Candide, Mr. Snow from Carousel, the Prince of Terpsichore in the American premiere of Goodman’s
Simple Simon, and Garcin in the World Premiere of Chandraratna’s No Exit, to name a few. His repertoire
spans the Baroque to Contemporary genres and includes Musical Theater and Jazz. As a conductor, Mr.
Chalwell has led the HLSCC Community Chorale, the First United Methodist Church Coppell (FUMC)
Chancel Choir, Youth Choir and Orchestra, and is enjoying his second season as Director of the Coppell
Community Chorale. He has served as a faculty member of the San Francisco Conservatory Adult
Extension and Preparatory Division, SFCM Summer Music West, H. Lavity Stoutt Community College,
Eastfield College, and as Founder of the British Virgin Islands Summer Arts Institute. Most recently,
Robert has served as Music Director for the FUMC 2011 production of Bye Bye Birdie and is the
Director of Music Ministries for FUMC. He additionally holds MA in Global Affairs, an MA in Public
Policy and is on target to complete a PhD in Political Science in Summer 2012. Robert continues to feel
privileged to work with the talented, dedicated and fun-loving members of CCC. "Everyone should have
as much fun as me when they go to work!"
Caroline Martin has been accompanying the Coppell Community Chorale for the past eleven years.
She is an Geometry I teacher and assists the choir at Western Hills High School in Fort Worth.
Caroline also serves as Music Associate at Ridglea Presbyterian Church in Fort Worth.
She enjoys spending time with husband Jeremy, step-son Jeremy II (11),daughters Jadyn (8), Zoe (5),
and son Zander (3).
All of the musicians are also members of the Fort Worth-based band Second
Time Around which has been playing professionally for the past four years.
They are an entertainment band specializing in different styles of music ranging
from 1950's standards to today's hits. The group has been heard all over Texas.
In addition to Second Time Around, all three musicians are busy with other
bands, projects, and gigs.
