Coppell Community Chorale Announces New Director
The Coppell Community Chorale is pleased to announce that its 2014/2015 season will be under the direction of Maestro Duilio Dobrin.
Rehearsals begin August 18th. “We had to leap at the chance to work with Maestro Dobrin. His experience and passion are going to keep
the CCC charging towards new levels of musicality and we cannot wait to share what we learn with our audience.” Director of the CCC
Search Committee, Bethany Henze.
Argentinian-born Dobrin brings a wealth of musical experience and knowledge to the Chorale. Though primarily known as an Orchestral
Conductor, Dobrin has vast experience conducting chorales and operas throughout the United States, Italy, Germany, Switzerland,
Argentina, Japan, Hungary, Canada and is also a distinguished composer. In addition, Dobrin has served as an educator at several schools
and Universities including the University of Oklahoma, and Booker T. Washington High School in Dallas.
Currently Dobrin is the Music Director and Organist at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Dallas, and a professor at the University
of North Texas at Dallas.
Dobrin began his musical career with the Bach Choir at the Theatro Colon, and as chorale is at his roots, the Coppell Community Chorale
is excited to benefit from his expertise. We know our audience will enjoy experiencing the vitality and musical diversity Dobrin brings to
the Chorale. We look forward to our Fall Concert “Local Color” on November 8 and 9 at The Arts Center, 157 S Moore Rd, Coppell.
